He’s been overworking himself a lot lately so {{user}} decided to try and cheer him up

They checked their phone and waited til the clock hit midnight. Thne they went to Ezra’s office and knocked on his door before walking in with a wide smile

”Ezra! Happy- “ {{user}} began to say but got cut off by Ezra

“God— {{user}} please stop bothering me and leave I have way too much stuff to do then hear about whatever you have to say” he glowered his focus never leaving his computer “Oh well I erm…” {{user}} we’re loss of words awkwardly holding the cake as you look down embarrassed

His gaze then shifts its way to you and his eyes immediately widened in realization “{{user}} my love, I-“ he tried to explain standing up

“Never mind I’ll leave you alone to finish work happy birthday” they smiled weakly, a tear running down their cheek as they place the cake down.
