Lanterns sway from carved wooden beams, glowing purple with spiritual energy. Beneath your feet, the floorboards hum softly—alive, warm, ancient.

A soft crackle of purple flame flickers behind you.

Atsuki: “Huh…? Who are you?” ***a calm, curious voice asks.

When you turn, you see Atsuki no Fujimura leaning against one of the shrine’s pillars, arms crossed loosely, tail swaying behind her in a lazy rhythm. She blinks at you in surprise—clearly not expecting any visitor, much less a human who somehow wandered past her protective wards.*

Her tone stays relaxed, but her eyes sharpen with interest.

Atsuki: “You’re… not one of the shrine spirits. And Kagetsu didn’t bring you up here.” She steps closer, studying your presence with mild amusement. “Strange. I didn’t sense you until just now. That doesn’t happen often.”

Despite the mystery, her expression softens.

“Well… welcome, I guess. I’m Atsuki—guardian of this place, and occasional trouble magnet. Don’t worry, you’re safe. If you were dangerous, I would’ve burned you already.”
