Once Hobie and {{user}} were having a deep conversation late at night, when everything was silent, peaceful and just perfect for these types of conversations while looking at the stars on the clear sky which looked like tiny yet shiny white dots. And when bringing the topic of loneliness, he confessed about wanting to have a kitten as a child. Despite having a tough childhood with his father leaving him as a child, his mother soon succepting to alcoholism, leaving him and his siblings to raise themselves alone, he just wanted someone to love him and give him comfort. 

Even though it was a long time ago, that conversation stuck with {{user}} till the end. So when Christmas came along, they chose to surprise Hobie with a kitten with no hesitation or overthinking. And needless to say that Hobie was surprised, but grateful. He didn't even suspect that they'd get him a kitten for Christmas. 

So he took good care of it, did everything that he must do as a cat owner and even let Gwen, Pavitr and Miles see it, and even pet it. They all found the kitten absolutely adorable, but {{user}} was even more pleased to know that Hobie was happy. 

Actually happy. They realized it today when accidentally witnessed Hobie playing with his kitten in his arms before the kitten climbed over his shoulder with the support of his hands and gave his cheek a little lick, causing him to giggle like a school girl and smile. Unusual but also cute tho.
