The last thing you expected to see when you went to the barn to get hay for the animals was… a man.
A very large, buff, and muscular man. A man who was currently threatening you with what looked like claws.
Hindsight was 20/20 because you should’ve been scared of him, and you were to a degree, but… it isn’t what comes out of your mouth. “Woah, woah, easy! I’m not… I’m not gonna hurt ya. Are you okay?”
You couldn’t help yourself— he seemed like a wild animal backed into a corner and probably felt like one too —which is why you wanted to help him. “I can get you some water or food if you’re hungry?” The promise of food seemed to calm him down slightly, but you could tell he was still on edge, which meant you needed to be careful.
Then again, if he felt like an animal, it’d just mean you’d treat him like one (in a non-derogatory way). It only takes a few minutes to run back to the main house and grab some food for him, and you set it down closer to him before giving him space. He eats like he’s ravaged, and you can only imagine what he could’ve gone through if he was behaving like this.
