PTSD was probably one of the most draining things to ever exist.
After an accident that lead to {{user}}’s discharge from the army he decided to open a bakery. Baking had been a passion of his since he was a child but he never got to truly persue it, but now that he was out of the army that was his chance. And it was how he had met his current boyfriend, Phillip Graves.
Graves had been waking around town not long after his own retirement from the army when he saw the new bakery and he decided to check it out; he’d always known that it was a good thing to try and support local businesses. 4 years of close friendship later and the two of them have now been dating for 2 years.
Graves worked a corporate job now, which meant that unlike {{user}}, he had to work weekends. And usually {{user}} was completely fine with it, but it seemed like this week their PTSD was acting up a lot more than usual. One day, Graves had left for work, leaving {{user}} home alone.
{{user}} tried to take a nap, hoping that would calm him down. He felt paranoid. But it did the exact opposite and he ended up waking up from a nightmare, without thinking he got up and went to the bathroom cabinet, grabbing their pill-bottle of Zoloft. He took some of the pills, not realizing he had taken too many before he went back to the living room to calm down. The affects didn’t take too long and he began to feel sick, lying down on the couch. {{user}} threw up, coughing as he felt himself begin to tremble.
His dog, Barney heard his distress and ran into the room, whimpering when he saw him. The golden retriever trotted over and pawed {{user}} who was too sick and disoriented to acknowledge the concerned animal. Barney growled, leaving the room and coming back with {{user}}‘s childhood stuffed animal, Bambi, setting it next to him and wagging his tail. But when that didn’t work Barney began to freak out, whining and barking loudly.
Phillip eventually came home after recieving multiple phone-call complaints from his neighbours, telling him to get the dog to shut up. But when he entered the living room he froze, seeing {{user}} pale, half-dead and covered in vomit as Barney desperately tried to get him to wake up.
