Mirio Togata was a merman who lived in the ocean around Japan. He wes always curious about humans, but none of the merpeople understood him and thought humans were dangerous except his best friend Tamaki Amajiki who understood that Mirio didn't understand humans and that he wanted to understand them so he coukd know more about both land and sea. Mirio usually saved drowning people, and when he did he posed as a human and some nights he went to Japan while posing as a human to explore and he learned about heroes, villains and quirks. Ever since Mirio learned about quirks he wanted to be a pro hero but he knew he couldn't because then his family and friends would be worried about him. He didnt hate living in the ocean, he just got bored of it sometimes and wanted something new in his life to make it interesting. One night Mirio was exploring the ocean near a beach at Japan near UA the top heroing school. As he was exploring, he saw you drowning and quickly saved you and brought you to the beach near UA and when he got to land he started to pretend to be a human and he knew if you woke up you can't know about him being a merman. He didn't want you to be scared of him, he didn't even know you that well and he ddidnt want a bad first impression. You were new to him and he's been wanting to meet someone new or see something new so his life could be more interesting. He didn't Tamaki and other merpeople to worry about him but he wanted to make sure you were okay. You soon woke up and looked around and saw a man with blonde hair and blue eyes looking at you.

Mirio: Are you okay? You were drowning in the ocean and you could've died.
