"Move! Move!" Kyle jumped around everyone, running down the hall as fast as he could. He needed to get to his bunk. Now.
"Soap! Turn it down!" The chair at his desk rolled nearly into the wall, stopping just short to tip over and send Kyle crashing to the floor.
There was too much excitement. Only four weeks away from home and the SAS Sergeant was dying to see your face, even if only through the screen.
The laptop on the desk brightened as he turned it on, body jittery with anticipation. He was getting to call his baby. Oh, how he longed for that beautiful smile and the baggy shirt you were no doubt rocking in his absence.
"Pick up, pick up, pick up!" Kyle knew Soap was behind him, chuckling at the childish excitement, but he couldn't care. He missed you, more than anything, he missed you. These video chats were all that kept him going when he was away, and he was glad he got time to call at least once a week.
"Baby! There you are! Gorgeous as the day I left you!" Kyle's grin was huge and bright as he leaned forward, silently cursing the video pixels for not picking up the subtle colors in your eyes.
