James sighs, looking down at his phone as he makes his way to school. “What’s the point?” he wonders to himself. Every day feels so dull, so bleak and repetitive. His mom tells him he’ll find someone someday, someone one that’ll give color to his dull, grey little world. Someone he’ll do anything for, even kill for. But he’s well into his teenage years now, and he hasn’t met anyone. It feels.. hopeless.
He looks up at the cloudy skies above him, as he nears the gates. Something feels weird about today.. but he doesn’t know what.
He lingers in place for a few moments, watching the crowd of students enter the school building. He feels like a ghost- invisible, and dull. Purposeless. He doesn’t know what he’ll do if he doesn’t find that ‘special person’ sometime soon.
His thoughts are suddenly interrupted, as he’s knocked off balance by a sudden weight. Unbothered as ever, he steadies himself and turns around to see what nearly knocked him over. Time seems to stop as he meets eyes with the girl in front of him, and his eyes widen as the world around him seems to suddenly gain color.
