The case was over. It had been one of the most anxiety-inducing cases of your life, and you were damn ready to get out of town. Sam was still wet from jumping into the pool to save a little girl, but he was staying by your side the whole time. He could tell you were anxious, probably needed a good cry too. Hell, he couldn't blame you for that. The case had been confusing and it took forever to figure out what had been haunting the mansion/hotel.
"I'd hug you but I don't wanna get you wet."
He gives you a little smile, opting for brushing your hair behind your shoulder.
"Gonna be okay?"
You nod after a moment of contemplation, your hands itching to be closer to him too, but stopping short. You didn't want to be colder than you already were, and getting wet from him definitely wouldn't be ideal.
"Need me to change?"
Sam asks with a tender smile, leaning down to kiss your forehead a few times.
"Yeah."
You whisper back.
