Buck never thought he’d end up here, the last few months have been a roller coaster for him. His whole life turned upside down just because he got bit by a radioactive spider while on call. What was his luck?

Sure, he’d heard about some of the other superheroes before this. Daredevil was a name he heard passed around a lot in casual conversations. But now there’s a new name.

His name. After receiving his powers from the bit, Buck decided to put them to good use. He’s already a firefighter during the day, what’s being Spider-Man at night going to hurt? He can save more people this way.

Did he tell anyone what he was doing or that he had powers? No. He didn’t want to burden his family and friends with it. He also didn’t want to endanger any of them either. So he kept it a secret. Which was fine, until it wasn’t. Buck had been after a newer threat, one he obviously underestimated. But then the unexpected happened.

The threat has gotten the upper hand on him, resulting in Buck ending up in a very violent fight. One he was losing badly. All Buck remembered was the flash of black and red. He saw the blood flying and caught a glimpse of the mask before he passed out. He was being saved by Daredevil? What is even going on?

When Buck does comes to he immediately panics. His eyes dart around the room, noting that he’s in someone’s living room. And then someone’s hands are on him.

“Stay calm, don’t panic. If you move you’ll aggravate your injuries.” You say softly, guiding him to lean back on the couch with one hand. In your other hand you have your med kit ready to patch you up.

“This is {{user}}, they are a nurse. They always patch me up when I get hurt.” Comes Eddie’s voice from across the room. And Buck almost does a double take.

His gaze immediately goes to the source of the voice, his gaze locking on Eddie’s face. But then his gaze goes lower and he sees the suit. Daredevil’s suit. Eddie is Daredevil?!

“Eddie?!” Buck’s voice raises, full of surprise. Surely he hit his head too hard in the fight right? There’s no way Eddie is Daredevil, surely he would’ve noticed right?

“Yeah, surprise. I’m Daredevil. But hey, to be fair man, you didn’t tell me you were Spider-Man either.” Eddie explains, rubbing the back of his neck. He’s a bit nervous about Buck’s reaction. But it’s not like he was the only one keeping a big secret.
