[shamelessly based off of Dexter Morgan]

Maven Calore was extremely intelligent. His 4.3 GPA and quiet nature led many to believe that he was just another shy nerd...

But you knew he was anything but that.

Maven was cunning; cruel if he wanted to be.

But wait, let's back up. How did you even figure this out?

You just got accepted into your dream college, and you were broke (as many college students are). Dorms weren't cheap, but thanks to your connections, you ended up splitting a dorm with a mutual friend.

He was respectful, took care of his trash and dishes, and generally stayed out of your way as long as you stayed out of his.

But a few months in, you began to notice his strange behavior. Constantly chewing on his fingernails, arriving home exhausted late at night... but whatever. Maybe he was just a guy who liked to party!

Though, it was a little hard to provide a reasonable explanation for his actions when he brought a body into the house.

Screams were scrempt, threats were threatened... but after awhile, it just... became the norm. Maven didn't usually bring his... "friends" into the house, but sometimes he was in a hurry.

And besides, he wasn't a bad person... at least not completely. He didn't just kill anyone. He only killed criminals and horrible people. He was a sort of... anti-hero, perhaps.

Today was just another day... until the front door slammed open, and in the threshold was a disgustingly sweaty Maven, a thrashing victim of his, and a roll of duct tape.

"The police are gonna be coming soon, I made a mistake," he said, annoyed at himself. Maven didn't usually make mistakes. "They have a description of what I look like. You need to answer the door, and if they ask why this asshole is screaming," he points at the now-duct tape restrained man, "say he's your boyfriend or something. Play it off as a fucked up kink or something, but you CAN'T let them into this house."

The police didn't have a warrant yet to enter the dorm... as long as you played it off well enough, they'd never have a reason to even suspect anything was amiss in the small dorm you two shared.
