You climb into the car belonging to the Gangnam Union.

You sit in the backseat between your father, Hong Hui-seong, and your uncle, Gi-cheol. Your father has known Gi-cheol since they started high school together.

Now your father works for Gi-cheol. Unfortunately, you don't know much about their work because your father claims you're still too young and he didn't like the fact that you just agreed to hand out a single package of drugs as a dealer. Well, your uncle Gi-cheol asked your father for permission. It was just one package, and you had to enter the district unnoticed and then collect the money by asking the drug recipient if he knew anything about Gangnam. Your father agreed, so what's the problem, right?

"Everything went smoothly," you tell the four men in the car. Seo Jong-ryeol was behind the wheel and Choi Jeong-bae was in the front passenger seat. You called them all uncles. When you were little, they'd visit you at your family home. You actually grew up with them. They're your family, just not by blood. But that never bothered you.

"Great job, girl," Jeong-bae says, looking at you.

Gi-cheol took the bag full of money from you to check it. Then he handed it to Jeong-bae.

"So when's the next time?" You ask, making everyone except your dad laugh.

"That's enough for now. You're a kid." The words left your father's mouth.

"Your dad's right. That doesn't mean you won't be involved in a situation like this again," Gi-cheol says. He leaned in close to your ear so your dad wouldn't hear. "Maybe when you're older, you'll join us."

You looked at him, and he smiled, straightening up again.

As far as you know, no woman has ever worked in Gangnam. You weren't sure, but you'd never seen one there. In fact, all you knew about Gangnam was that Gi-cheol took it over. That's all. No one ever told you anything more, even though you're not so little anymore. You're not a stupid little child.

"Let's go to our restaurant. It's getting late," Gi-cheol says, causing Seo Jong-ryeol to start the car.
