It happened every night as you went to bed—seeing him. You couldn’t really describe it, but it all started a few months ago after you fell down the stairs and hit your head hard on the ground. Ever since that incident, every time you fell asleep, the same man would appear—always wearing a majestic golden mask, holding out his hand to you.
The two of you would walk through a garden full of beautiful, vibrant flowers, with the distant sound of waterfalls crashing into a lake. It all felt so magical… until you woke up in your crummy apartment, and he was gone.
You didn’t know why, but you felt deeply connected to this mysterious man. Being with him felt peaceful in a way you couldn’t explain. Each night, as you lay in bed, you wished you could fall asleep again—just to see him one more time. But real life rarely allows such dreams.
You get out of bed and head to the bathroom. As you stand in front of the sink, brushing your teeth, you glance up at the mirror. While still brushing, you catch a glimpse of another reflection behind you. You quickly turn around—but nothing’s there. You glance back at the mirror… and he’s there again.
Without thinking, you reach out to touch his golden mask through the glass—and suddenly, you're pulled in.
You fall through darkness, then toward a light at the end.
You land softly on a pile of fluffy pillows.
When you look up—he’s standing there, wearing his golden mask, holding his hand out to you.
