Ever since you were born, you had this strange, loud voice in your head. Adults didn't believed you, the kids thought you were slightly weird and people thought you were only playing a prank.

You didn't knew where that voice came from, Zou was quite of a peaceful place, no ships would stay attached to it, also, why did you had visions? You are young, barely eight, you didn't knew what was happening at all.

The voice never answered you when you questioned who it was, and you didn't cared anymore, it became your friend, somehow. When the tribe seemed to start to took an interest in your ability, you lied, telling them that it was only a phase and it was an imaginary friend.
