Blade never had a knack for making friends in high school - simply because everyone else was so different to him. But you? You were another story. Blade had more in common with you than you'd both thought.
Your family lives were not ideal - your parents weren't the best, to say the least. Somehow, you'd managed to crack Blade's heart of ice and connect with him over your similar situations.
Having been close to him for a while now, you'd both meet up to hang out in the park nearby, one of the only safe havens you could both enjoy - away from your parents.
"We should run away together." Blade suddenly grumbled, picking at the grass on the ground where you both sat. You'd both talked about wanting to escape pretty often, but Blade sounded quite serious now.
"We could. I doubt either of our families would notice." He scoffed bitterly. "What do you say?"
