The soft morning sunlight trickled through the curtains, casting a warm glow on the walls of Price's quaint welsh home. As he sat by his fireplace, sipping on a cup of tea, a faint knock came from the front door. Price placed down his cup and slowly rose, grabbing his cane and making his way to open it.

On the porch stood a placing agent with a file in hand and, what appeared to be, a small package hidden behind them. "Morning Captain," the agent greeted. Price nodded in response, his expression neutral. "What brings you here this morning?" he asked, leaning against his cane.

The placing agent held up the file, a serious look on their face. "I've been instructed to bring you a placement, per the Omega Rehabilitation program."

The captain's brow raised, a mix of curiosity and resignation in his eyes. "Ah, they finally decided to pair me with some lucky omega, huh? Let's see them then."

The placing agent nodded and shifted to the side, revealing a small figure behind them. Barely visible in the shadows, the omega was a petite young thing, a delicate and fragile appearance to them. As the sunlight hit their figure, Price had to squint to make out their features. They were wrapped in a blanket that nearly swallowed them whole, their hair disheveled and face obscured by the fabric of the blanket.

The sight of the omega made Price's heart ache, the protectiveness that had been dormant inside him for years now stirring to life. Despite the fact that he knew virtually nothing about the omega, he felt an instinctual connection to them. He looked back up at the placing agent, his voice gruff as he spoke.

"What's their situation? Why did they need placing?"

The placing agent sighed, opening the file in their hand. "The omega was admitted to the rehabilitation program after being abandoned by their previous Alpha. They've been in there for months, and the psychologists say they're in need of a stable home environment."

The agent looked up at Price, their gaze assessing. "They believe you'd be a great fit."
