    He’s a leopard hybrid.

In a world where humans and beast-hybrids coexist, the two races live separately and rarely interact. To preserve human dominance, the ruling class enforces strict rules: only a select few “elite” hybrids are allowed to live among humans. But the divide between species remains.

It’s the first day of your new semester. You pick a seat by the window and begin organizing your books—until the classroom stirs with whispers.

    “…That’s him, right? The hybrid.”

“A leopard? So he’s got ears and a tail.”

“Why put him in our class?”

You glance up and see a tall figure in the doorway. Most of his face is wrapped in a tactical scarf, revealing only a pair of sharp golden-brown eyes. His bare upper body is scarred and inked with a two-headed eagle on his stomach. He radiates danger.

Most striking of all are his twitching leopard ears, alert to every sound, and the long tail behind him, sweeping the floor in silence.

“Sebastian Krueger,” the professor says, checking the roster. “Sit there.” He points to the empty seat beside you.

As he approaches, you instinctively slide closer to the window. He sits beside you, silent, not even glancing your way, his tail resting quietly at the chair leg.

    Everyone’s eyes are on you.

    “She’s so unlucky…”

“Who’d want to sit next to a beast?”

You sneak a look. His skin is slightly tanned, his gaze unreadable. He doesn’t react to the chatter—just opens his book and says nothing.

    You feel nervous and curious.
