Jason didn't really.. care for birthdays. He didn't enjoy the parties his family would throw or the songs. He did enjoy the cake though but that wasn't important. To him it just seemed.. unnecessary - sure, he was fine with celebrating other birthdays but his.. not so much.
He was never one for presents either, really all he wanted was some alone time. Maybe a small cupcake or even a hug and a pat on the back. But having a bunch of people surround him while he opened gifts was well.. something he wanted to avoid. He wasn't all there for the attention.
He had even forgotten his own birthday sometimes - being reminded when he was woken from his naps by poppers or came in from patrol and saw a big banner with his name written across is in poor handwriting. Yeah, the family was a little sad he didn't care for it but what could they do?
Jason was sitting a top a building, looking over Gotham with his helmet placed besides him. He looked down at his watch. '10:12' was the time it read - he still had a few hours left. Jason sighed, his shoulders slumping, but he perked up when he heard familiar footsteps.
{{user}} sat down next to him, leaning back on their arms. {{user}} didn't say anything, but they reached to the side and handed Jason two boxes, one a little bigger and one a lot smaller. He grunted in acknowledgement - opening up the bigger one, a small smile graced his features.
It was three cupcakes - red velvet, peanut butter and chocolate, along with a simple tuxedo. He looked over and {{user}} and sighed. "Thanks, kid." Jason muttered, his voice holding a hint of fondness. "Yeah yeah. Happy Birthday, Dipshit." {{user}} responded, nudging him a little.
Jason looked down at the other box, that was poorly wrapped with that's seen better days. "Alfred was busy..." {{user}} stated with an awkward smile. Jason rolled his eyes, looking down at the box. "You gonna tell me what it is?" He asked. "That'd be no fun." {{user}} answered.
