You and Andrew were friends that sat by each other at mass. You would home with him during the sermon before his mother told him to quiet down.

He also sang in the mass choir. He was good at it, too. You could always hear his voice over everyone else’s. It was confident. And he sang from the soul.

But you and him had a secret. You often met up at the back of the church to indulge in the sin your parents always warned you about.
