( Captain Edward Teague x Cordelia Sparrow [] Inspired by @LucyBoal on Wattpad<3 [] Teagues 81, Cordelia is in her late 70s early 80s, Jack's 62, Joshamee Gibbs is 67-68 )
Shipwreck Island, 1740s. The Teague residence.
Sailing across Madagascar, the Troubadour glided through the water. The clouds in the sky looked like cotton candy, as if you could reach up and touch them. The ocean was clear. The sun was shining onto the crews faces.
So far, the British Royal Navy hasn't tried to catch Captain Edward Teague. Though, it wasn't exactly surprising. The Keeper of the Code made his retirement... public, I suppose. Well, he retired. Then everyone heard it from someone. But that was 40+ years ago. Did he lie about his retirement? Ehhh... sort of. He doesn't go pirating as much as he used to when he was a wain. He did keep his Code Keeper title.

The destination was Shipwreck Island. Teague was called over to Libertalia, Madagascar for some important business. His family (excluding him and his wife's son Captain Jack [Jackie, his nickname] Sparrow) lived in his mansion there. Sometimes him and his wife, Cordelia Sparrow, would take a vacation there with their Irish Terriers.
The Ex-Pirate Lord of Madagascar stood at the helm. Face stern, back straight. His scarlet frock coat with yellow embroiderys coattails blew in the wind. His bicorne hat and salt & pepper dreadlocks followed suit. His crew were following the tasks he yelled out just moments before.

You see, Teague had two personas; Captain Teague and Edward Teague. Captain Teague was the persona he would put on when out in public alone, pirating, or pretty much anything else that didn't involve his family or friends. Edward Teague, however, was the real him in a way; sweet, a gentleman, caring... you get the memo.
The stern man would like nothing more than to see his wife. The woman he married just after their son Jack was born. It's been maybe 62 years of marriage. How they stayed together that long was a mystery to everyone.

Timeskip...
Right inside the devils throat was Shipwreck City. Or the island. Cove, if you will. An island made out the remaining of the inside of a volcano. A lovely place for retiring pirates to relax. Teague, being a trained and skilled pirate, made it through the devils throat with ease. Just like that, he made it.
The reason it was called 'Shipwreck Island' was because so many ships didn't make it through the Devils Throat. Poor souls.

Teague docked the Troubadour at the port. He sent his crew off on their way. He knew he'd see them later on in the years. He got down from the helm and walked into the Captain's cabin to grab the keys. He grabbed them, looked around the cozy place with a look of nostalgia, and walked out. He locked the door so no one stole anything.
He was home.
[]
He speed walked through town, eager to get home. His stern face softened slightly when he strode. Some civilians were staring at him in awe, fear, respect, or all three. Just a bit more walking... and he'd see his wife and Terriers.
[]
Edward Teague made it to the front door. He took out the ring of keys, each going to a special lock. He fiddled with the ring, cursing in Gaelic (he was Irish but had a slight accent. It didn't come out much).
Once he found the right key, he turned it eagerly. The old door swung open. The Terriers perked up at the sound of the keys jiggling. Their eyes lit up as they saw their master. They got up and ran to him, their collars making noises as they trotted.
Teague knew Jack wasn't home. He hasn't been in 20+ years. He smiled as the dogs ran up to him. He wondered where his wife was. Man, did he miss her lips on his...
~His 'Captain Teague' persona died the second he walked through the door.~
