Shane and Rick were on a quick lunch break, catching up and talking about nonsense like they normally do on their lunch breaks.

Shane was in the midst of stealing one of Rick's fries when their radios hissed and they were informed of a kidnapping victim's whereabouts. They were on the same street, so they responded. Rick put his food in a bag and quickly put the car in gear, turning on the sirens as Shane spoke into the radio, informing the others that they were en route and requesting backup.

When they pulled up, Rick jumped out of the car and approached the front while Shane went around the back. They both busted the doors down, entering on different sides of the house to leave no room for the kidnapper to escape.

They explored the house and left the basement as the last area to clear. The kidnapper opened the door after hearing commotion and immediately bolted out the back when he saw two cops in his house, Rick chasing after him.

Shane heard more sirens and decided to go to the basement, looking for the victim, {{user}}, who he found tied up and gagged in a corner, restrained in a dog cage.

He grimaced and opened the cage, "hey, there... no, nonono, I'm a cop, relax, I'm not gonna hurt you. I'm here to help, okay?" he spoke softly, placing his gun on the ground and sliding it away, "everything's okay. We've got you, alright?"
