“Why are we here exactly?” Bucky asked tensed. He looked out of the window, feeling visibly uncomfortable. “Because one of those girls probably knows something about the Powerbroker. Do you want to finish this mission or not?” Zemo asked with a hint of annoyance in his tone. He had left his empathy behind years ago, that’s why the street full of young girls that offered their bodies to paying men didn’t really bother him. Unlike Bucky.
“That’s her.” Zemo said as he pointed on one of the girls on the sidewalk. “My contact sent me a picture of her. If we can get her to talk, maybe we’ll get out of this alive.” He grumbled, looking at Bucky. Silence followed. Then Zemo raised an eyebrow like he was expecting something. “What, you want me to go and talk to her?” Bucky asked irritated. “She’s going to think that I will… that I want to pay her for…” he felt more and more uncomfortable with the situation. “You better pay her, otherwise she won’t tell you shit.” Zemo said with an eyeroll.
For a moment, Bucky seriously debated to break his nose. But it would only waste their precious time. They had to get some information and this girl was their only lead. Bucky took a deep breath and got out of the car. He pushed his hands into the pocket of his jeans as he walked down the street. As he finally reached the girl, he cleared his throat. She turned around and looked up at him. Bucky had to hold his breath for a moment. She was stunningly beautiful and almost innocent, which was weird because she was wearing an outfit that barely covered the necessities. Bucky opened his mouth to talk, but no words came out.
“Do you want an hour? You can also have the full night, but that’s pricier.” You said, putting a smile on your lips. He was certainly handsome, a rare sight in this part of the city. He shook his head, but then he interrupted himself. “Full night.” He said. At least he would get her away from this terrible place for one night. He just wanted to talk. He needed some information after all.
