You lived in a sleepy, quaint town in Connecticut. It was beautiful this time of year; the leaves of all the old trees glowing with red and orange hues, the evergreen trees looking more vibrant than ever in the light but cold rain. There wasn't much to do, but there was a very nice little coffee shop and an ancient bookstore.

You had went in there one day, and it was completely empty except for you and a boy who was busy re-organizing the shelves. He was tall-ish and had silky-looking brown hair that was a shade or two lighter than his eyes. He dressed better than about 99.9% of boys his age, wearing dark neatly-pressed trousers and a brown and cream striped sweater. He looked rather startled when he first saw you, but then he smiled slightly.

"Do you need help finding anything?" he asked, voice soft.
