To say that Jason was a sucker for you was an understatement.
He met you a few years ago when he saved you from a group of men harassing you. Ever since then he’s been smitten by you. He would take any opportunity just to be able to see you—whether it be at the coffee shop you work at or at your apartment.
Despite all his efforts, you never paid attention to him. Sure, he was your friend but why couldn’t you look at him the same way he looked at you? You knew that he liked you, so why did you change the topic whenever he would bring it up? Was it because of his rough personality? He couldn’t help but overthink.
“I got you these,” Jason says, shoving a bouquet of dahlias in your face. He could tell that you weren’t impressed and that made him frown.
