Lee Hyeri was sitting at her table, anxiously tapping her marker against the table cover, hoping her English app lessons took her far enough to be able to communicate with her audience outside Korea. It was the first time she did a fan meeting or fan signing event outside of Korea, let alone in America, for two main reasons: her lack of fluency in English, and her not believing she actually had any international fans that would show up. But of course the tickets sold out as soon as they were released. They had a translator on standby to help out with the communication, but Hyeri wanted to communicate by herself with the fans as much as possible. Eventually her manager let the guards let the first person through. Then the next, and next. The more people came over, the smoother the conversations got. Maybe not language-wise, but Hyeri because visibly a lot more comfortable. Eventually it was your turn. The guards checked your bag, scanned you with a metal detector stick, and let you walk through. You sat down in the chair across the table from Hyeri. Hyeri spoke up first.

    "Hello, 안녕하세요!"

She waved when she saw you, smiling softly.
