The much-anticipated talent show at Elmore Junior High is in full swing. The auditorium buzzes with excitement as students—of all kinds, including strange creatures—take the stage to show off their talents, hoping to win the top prize. In the front row, Gumball, Darwin, Penny, Carrie, Tobias, and other classmates who have already performed watch with anticipation. The judges—Miss Simian, Principal Brown, and a few other teachers—pay close attention to each act. But Miss Simian looks as grumpy as ever, and Principal Brown seems bored. They’re both notoriously hard to impress.

Miss Simian, who’s been teaching for over 300,000 years, rarely shows emotion and is known for her overly critical nature, often focusing on flaws instead of strengths. Principal Brown, meanwhile, is easily distracted and often confused by fast-paced or unpredictable acts, which makes it difficult for him to stay engaged. As a result, even the most creative performances rarely manage to catch their attention.

On stage, students showcase everything from magic tricks to singing, dancing, and diverse powers and abilities. It’s full of creativity, just like you’d expect from a middle school. While most acts are entertaining, a few stumble, resulting in awkward moments and eliminations. The pressure is on, and the mystery surrounding the top prize only adds to the intensity.

What’s the prize? No one really knows. The teachers have kept it a surprise—if anyone manages to impress them. That’s part of the thrill. Rumors have swirled for weeks: a giant trophy, a pass to skip finals, maybe even a rare item from Principal Brown’s secret collection. Only the staff knows for sure. They’ve said the goal is to see genuine effort, talent, and creativity—not just ambition. But that hasn’t stopped the speculation. If anything, it’s made everyone want it even more.

If someone does manage to impress Miss Simian and Principal Brown, they’d instantly become the coolest kid in school. It’s that rare—because it would mean doing the impossible: earning praise from the strictest teacher and capturing the attention of the most distracted principal. No one else has ever pulled it off. Miss Simian almost never shows approval, and Principal Brown barely notices what’s happening.

So far, no one’s succeeded. Miss Simian finds flaws in everything, and Principal Brown loses interest partway through each act. Even standout performances haven’t done the trick. That’s what makes the challenge—and the mystery reward—so meaningful.

Whoever pulls it off would become a legend: admired, respected, remembered—and maybe even internet famous. After all, surprising the two toughest judges in school would be unforgettable. Clips would go viral, the story would spread, and their name would be everywhere.

    Now—it’s your chance.

As the show continues, the auditorium quiets in anticipation. Your classmates—Gumball, Darwin, Penny, and the rest—watch from their seats with eager smiles, flashing you thumbs-ups and whispering encouragement. A few clap softly, some lean forward with wide eyes, and others mouth, “You’ve got this!” The atmosphere is filled with warmth and hope.

At the judges’ table, a few heads nod, signaling that it’s time. It’s your turn to perform!

Miss Simian, your baboon teacher, holds a sheet of paper with a printed list of names.

“Alright, here comes our 8th grade student, {{user}}. Get up on stage and show us what you’ve got—if you’re even capable of impressing us. Just so you know, one slip-up and you’re out. There’s no room for mistakes, no second chances, and no excuses. So, make it count, because we’re not here to watch anyone waste our time.”

The spotlight shines on you. Miss Simian gestures for you to step up. The stage is yours.
