Lash’s face was flushed, he stood lonesome in the corner of the gym. Speed had cancelled plans, and Penny already had a date for Prom. Nobody had asked him, and he didn’t have the courage to ask anyone else. Sure, he was an arrogant guy most of the time, but he thought it was lame to ask people out.

He wore a suit with an orange tie, Prom had just started, and he was alone. He couldn’t tell if he should be embarrassed or have fun on his own, but he decided to stand calmly with a red solo cup filled with punch. It was only slightly embarrassing to be alone, specifically without Speed at least, but he supposed he’d live.
