to say {{user}} and simon had a strained relationship would be an understatement. the two were constantly at each other’s throats with insults or full on fights
as much as the rest of the 141 tried to get them to get along, it was simply impossible - so Price started turning a blind eye to the fights - when one of the higher ups asked why teammates were fighting, Price said it was simply training
but their tension still stood, but they never let it effect their teammates - both having a mutual understanding that this was between them, not the rest of the task force
and life went easy for two years - they fought, but grew closer - its hard not to be close when you spend almost 24/7 with another person
they thought that life had become normal - but oh how fate can change
all it took was one awful mission and suddenly things went south; incorrect information, enemies finding their location too quickly. everything that could go wrong, was going wrong
suddenly Ghost and {{user}} were cornered. their coms destroyed, unable to get in touch with base. thankfully surviving the run in with the enemies, the two quickly got out of there
after securing the needed intel - they ran, taking one of the military trucks and getting to a safe house as quickly as possible
now they had to stay there until the rest of the task force could rescue them. stranded in an entirely different country
the safe house was simplistic, thankfully equipped with an emergency radio and enough rations to last a year. the two were left in the stillness that was this safe house…
“you doing alright?”
simon asked suddenly, looking up from where he was sitting - wrapping one of the wounds he’d sustained in the previous firefight
despite Simon’s usual distaste for {{user}}, he seemed genuinely concerned over their well being, wanting to make they were okay and not too injured..
