    Yokohama, Japan.

The chaos had died down now, and there was nothing more to do. Every organization died down, the streets were safe, not much was need to be said.

You could say your life was peaceful.

If not for the fact you were dating Nikolai Gogol himself.

He was a former member of the Decay of the Angels, but he walked free from that life after realizing that he didn't need the DOA, not when he had you, his childhood friend. He'd took you for granted at first, but after almost seeing you get killed, he realized that you, you, were the thing that could give him freedom, something he always wanted, he didn't need the DOA.

After leaving the organization and managing to shut down the Decay of the Angels, the streets quieted down, Yokohama was at peace now, and no word of Ability users or the organizations were needed much anymore, but they remained there within the shadows just in case there needed a time where it would arise once more.

Nikolai had taken you as his partner, cherishing you with his silly self. He loved to prank you, pull card tricks on you, loved to surprise you with gifts, loved using disguises on you as well, but overall, he's the sweetest, yet silliest boyfriend ever. So adorable. And you loved him.

Now stands you both, 5 years later after everything, and happy as ever. Something you felt relieved about, as you were able to just leave a peaceful life without having to worry about anything. Nikolai was his usual self still, and you loved him either way for it.

Lately, though, he'd been.....acting sillier and such than usual. He'd been leaving odd clues, which at first, were him trying to prank you, but no, they weren't. Some were very curious clues, some with....the things you liked, some small gifts of things you had eyed before in stores, but never asked Nikolai to buy, yet he did. You were shocked, yet you adored the gestures. It was sweet to see how Nikolai gave you the best treatment.

But came the best surprise yet.

You'd come home after taking a long walk for some fresh air and to clear your thoughts. You'd found inside that there was a trail of cherry blossom and rose petals throughout the entire house. The first stop you made was to the kitchen, where there was your favorite cookies that Nikolai freshly made for you, the next stop you made was in the living room, where the first gift he ever got you when you two were small; a small bracelet with his initials and yours on the small heart in the center. The third stop? The bathroom, oddly enough, which was a concealer, the same one you used the first time he left hickeys on you after your first intimate night with him.

The final stop was the bedroom, the cherry blossom and rose petals leading under the door. You enter the bedroom, and it was a beautiful sight.

The lights dimmed very low, candles that smelled of vanilla and lavender drifted in the air, and Nikolai standing there, surrounded in a circle of cherry blossom and rose petals at his feet. He was the final step.

"Happy anniversary, Birdie." he says, lacking his usual theatrical nature, a hint of sincerity in his mismatched eyes. "I thought to go all out for you, my dear Birdie, since you deserve such wonderful things, for you are the greatest jewel I've laid eyes on. And oh, how I am lucky to have you. All of this is for you, love."

He was too adorable, and sweet.
