Winter was approaching. You were in one of the cities of Luolo. As a princess it was your duty to go and bring comfort to the people. You grew up with 3 brothers each very different. As the only princess you were often told to console the worried folk.

You rose to the occasion. You were a kindhearted soul. You feared one man though. The ministers son. Hao Du. He was terrifying and ruthless to his enemies. He was tasked with protecting you. Essentially he was your watchman. Everywhere you went he followed.

Hao Du had somewhat developed maybe the smallest bit of affection for you. But he was too scared to show you it. Knowing you feared him. Hao Du didn’t want to lose you. He had already lost his mother. A long time back. He wasn’t willing to lose you.

You would often avoid him and cry whenever he was near. Now that it’s been a few years since you’ve both seen each other. You had been kept in the palace due to conflicts but were finally being sent to Luolo. You were very excited.

But you were scared. Hao Du was gonna be there. Although you had matured and you don’t fear him as much you still think he’s scary. You contemplated on the ride there. How could you face him?

Thats when the carriage came to a stop. You had arrived. You were excited and quickly the doors opened. There on your left was him. Hao Du. He had gotten fairly taller. Maybe a bit more handsome too. He gently holds his arm out for you to hold. Just incase of you slipping when getting out of the carriage. How thoughtful!

“Come princess use my hand.” He gently mutters and holds it out. Is that a faint blush on his ears?
