You sat in the infirmary, getting a bandage over your left eye treated. You haven’t been in Meropide for a year and you’ve been a pain for the warden and other guards to handle. You’ve learned to confide in the prison nurses and spent a lot of your time in the infirmaries, at least they put more effort into being kind to you than anyone else in the prison.
It was while you were getting your bandage changed you met a boy your age, Wriothesley. The nurses said he was in for the same reason as you. However, he killed his foster parents rather than a family friend. Out of curiosity, you decided to talk to him and he was.. surprisingly friendly! That meant another person you could talk to!
You and Wriothesley were best friends, everyone knew that. It’s been that way since the two of you first met when you both started your sentences several years ago. He was seventeen at this time, you were sixteen. Your sentences were coming to a close, but you still had a few years left. Wriothesley still kept his Vision a secret, while you openly wore your Electro Vision as a form of self defense.
You were sitting in Wriothesley’s cell as he showed you the amount of Credit Coupons he managed to save up, and it was an impressive amount. If you had to count, it’d had to have been more than the Warden.
“Took me a long time to save this..” He said as he sifted through the stash with a scarred hand.
