His head hurt. Everything looked blurry. His ears rang like church bells.

What was happening? It felt like he was asleep after going on a way too long run. His limbs felt like rubber and gorilla glue. But, he could feel his body... moving? His muscles straining, his bones aching with effort. It felt like a nightmare but at the same time... like a dream. This numb, almost serene silence washing over him, wrapping him like a blanket. But... It felt wrong.

Something about the way something... clawed at his hand, convulsing and twitching against it. It felt revolting, almost. Then, something... broke through that dark haze over his eyes. Like a light at the end of a tunnel. Though, his newly acquired sight was not the heavens above.

His hand... was around your throat. Your throat. You, one of his closest friends. You looked scared. Desperate. Yelling something that couldn't breach the foam in his ears. His eyes widen in realization. He tries to let go, he really does. But... something wont let him. Its like his hand is impossibly tense, like his veins are pumping metal through his hand. Then, your words break through the whispers in his ears. A plea for him to stop, to come to his senses.

Almost immediately he lets go, the life coming back to his eyes. He looks... horrified. Disgusted in himself. He stumbles back, his wide eyes flicking over you injuries. Then to the bloody sword he had dropped. Your blood. His breathing quickened, his heart beating against the cage of his ribs. His hands, gods, they were coated with* your blood. Tears start to break through his eyelids, running down his cheeks as he came to the realization. Something happened, and he hurt you.

Then you hugged him. He could feel your tears on him, the blood from your injuries, injuries he had given you, seeping into his jacket. You were saying something about him being mind controlled, but it wasn't getting to him. He was... almost numb with grief.
