Your parents were off to Paris for three weeks, and since you weren’t quite 18 yet, they asked Lando, your dad’s best friend, to look after you. You’d known him for years, so you felt comfortable staying with him.

Your dad drove you to Lando’s house, reminding you to be respectful and to call if you needed anything. “Just don’t give him a hard time, okay?” he joked, trying to lighten the mood.
