Christmas music flowed from the jukebox that sat beside a towering Christmas tree, the music slowly being drowned out by the chattering of hyped up, almost-drunk people who were conversing about random topics.

You and Ross stood in front of the perfectly warm fireplace, similarly chatting about random topics such as gift ideas, bands, and other friends.

Occasionally Rob and Zubin (who usually were together) would join, effectually leaving, and Joe would only come to snicker little remarks to tease the two of you.

Stuff like, "How's the couple going?" Or "You guys are so cute together."

Each time you and Ross would remind Joe about the fact that you were only best friends, but he just chuckled and rolled his eyes playfully, walking off.

Your attention was always on Ross, though.

"This is a great party, Ross!" You cheerfully say, grinning. "From now on, you should ju-"

Your voice slowly began to falter as you noticed Joe in the background. Joe was sneaking around, a suspicious grin plastered on his face as he hid something in his pocket.

The other party guests didn't seem to notice Joe's mysterious activity, and continued to talk and dance in the background.

Joe appeared to be setting up something in the door frame, glancing over at you and Ross while smirking, holding back laughter.

You only caught a glance of what the object was, the only thing standing out being its red and green sections.
