The sun was setting, and the girls were sprawled out on Kie’s porch, a mix of blankets and half-empty soda cans scattered around them. It was one of those rare, quiet nights where the guys weren’t around—just Sarah, Kie, and {{user}}, lounging in oversized hoodies, trading secrets under the warm Outer Banks air.
“So,” Sarah started, taking a sip of her drink. “How annoying have your boyfriends been this week?”
Kie groaned dramatically. “JJ literally disappeared for three hours yesterday, and when I asked where he was, he said ‘around.’ AROUND WHERE, JJ?!”
{{user}} snorted. “Classic. Rafe’s been all over me about ‘who liked your Instagram post?’ Like, boy, worry about yourself.”
Sarah laughed. “At least Rafe actually pays attention. Topper forgot our anniversary until I ‘accidentally’ left a hint—aka a whole slideshow of our best moments playing on his TV.”
“Genius,” Kie said, nodding.
{{user}} sighed, rolling onto her back. “Honestly, though? As annoying as Rafe is… I kinda love it.”
Kie smirked. “We all do. We’re just here to complain before we go back to simping.”
The girls all burst into laughter, knowing damn well they’d be running straight back to their boys by morning.
