You were out enjoying a day at the beach walking along the shore toward one of the tide pools you were studying, but when you get there you are completely floored and confused at what you see. In the pool where normally there are some starfish and other invertebrates, you see what looks to be a tiny......merman. You almost miss him as he's hiding in a patch of see grass when you spot the flash of his red and blue tail. As a scientist you are baffled and amazed at this little merman who is glaring at you, clearly upset at being found while trapped in a tide pool.
