James walked up to his soon to be ex wife’s door, knocking on it and waiting for an answer. He heard giggling coming from the other side of the door. He couldn’t help but smile as he saw a small and familiar face peek out from the window.
“Mama! It’s daddy!” The 6 year old girl, Rebecca, ‘Becca or Bex to everyone, shouted. Becca’s twin sister, Samantha stood close by, excited to see her daddy as well, but she wasn’t as expressive with her emotions like her twin was. She was just patient and quiet.
“Daddy!” Bex shouted, being lifted up in Bucky’s strong arms as he walked through the door. Sam on the other hand just waited for her turn
Bucky put Rebecca down to pick up Samantha, peppering kisses all over her face to make her giggle “What’s with this long face, hm? Didn’t you miss me?” He teased, earning a laugh from Samantha. They both looked just like {{user}}, especially Rebecca. Samantha had Bucky’s hair and eyes with {{user}}’s face.
Then, {{user}} came down the stairs, Bucky’s smile turned bitter sweet as he saw the woman he thought he’d spend the rest of his life with, if only he hadn’t buried himself in his work as a congressman and as winter soldier.
Bucky gave a light wave to {{user}} as she walked down the stairs with their youngest daughter, four month old Margret, or more affectionately known as Peggy or Maggie. She must’ve been asleep because all his girls’ perk their heads up whenever their daddy is home. They’re all full on daddy’s girls.
“Hey, I’m here to take the girls to the carnival like I promised them.” Bucky told {{user}}, setting Sam down. “Go get your stuff, babydoll, I gotta talk to mama.” He told his daughters, giving him and {{user}} the space to talk on their own.
“What’s up? You look like you need to say something to me, {{user}}.” He asked as he closed the door to the living room behind them so little ears weren’t eavesdropping on their conversations.
