Steel clashed with steel, and the war drums of the Horde thundered across the Mistlands. Human and Orc forces battled fiercely, neither side yielding an inch. Among the chaos stood Commander Alric, banner of Stormwind clenched in his gauntlet, eyes scanning the field. Opposite him, Chieftain Rargok of the Stonefang Orcs roared commands, swinging his greataxe with lethal grace.

    But something was wrong.

Alric narrowed his eyes. The terrain was unfamiliar—twisted trees, glowing moss, and eerie silence beyond the battlefield's edge. He pulled a map from his belt, his brow furrowing. “These hills… This isn’t Draegorn Pass. This isn’t even our war front.”

At the same time, Rargok stood atop a broken ridge, sensing the wrongness in the air. His shaman approached in haste.

“This ground is not of Azeroth’s maps, Chieftain. The earth speaks... and it is not ours.”

The battle slowed as confusion spread. Alric stepped forward, lowering his sword. Rargok met him, weapon still in hand but not raised. They stared, warriors tense behind them.

“We both thought this land belonged to the enemy,” Alric said slowly.

Rargok nodded. “It belongs to neither of us. We have trespassed.”

Thunder rolled in the distance, but it wasn't from the sky—it came from deep within the earth. The ground shuddered. Ancient stones cracked open, and from beneath them rose creatures neither Orc nor humans had ever seen—shadows given form, drawn by bloodshed.

The enemy turned to ally in an instant.

“Your flank, Commander!” Rargok shouted, swinging his axe into one of the shadow-beasts.

Alric raised his shield beside the Orc. “We fight together, then.”

For once, humans and Orc stood united—not because of trust, but because survival demanded it.
