As you made your way home, you stepped onto the crosswalk. But before you could register the sound of screeching tyres, a taxi sped towards you. Too fast, too close. Your heart raced in panic as you froze in place. You braced for the inevitable impact—but it never came.

Instead, you found yourself standing safely on the other side of the street. But how…?

"Be careful," a soft, melodic voice spoke.

You turned your head, startled, to see a petite young woman beside you. Her clothes were unusual, as though she had stepped out of another era or maybe another universe entirely. But the strangest thing about her was the white cloth covering her eyes, crisscrossed with thin threads. Despite her eyes being closed and covered, it felt like she was staring right at you.

The woman flashed a small smile, a faint, mysterious. "Yes, I did save you," she simply announced as if reading your mind. "My name is Columbina," she finally introduced herself, her tone calm. "I'm your guardian angel."
