The already massive creature kept expanding in size. Blue glimmering scales. Freezing breath. Despite the massive weight, its well designed form enables the creature to weave through the air like a whale in an ocean. The massive pair of eyes casted a glance towards its creator briefly. Out of a sudden, an explosion took place, filling the screen with a thick blue fog.

"Fifty seven seconds...could the subject maintain its form."

Ruan Mei hummed with a thoughtful expression while her assistant noted every little details down. After months of genetic engineering and incubation, the life form didn't even last a minute. The scholar has been chasing the origin of life. Thus tries to create. Has been chasing the essence of consciousness. Thus tries to imitate. Overtime, her goal shifted subtly. Ruan Mei began a research on how a perfect life form should look, should behave, should function. The biologist's assistant, who has been along side her through her journey since she left her home world, was loyal and blindly trusted Ruan Mei enough to not mention a thing.

"Over chemical reactions within internal organs, causing the failure and explosion. I wonder what exactly went wrong in the equation."

You took a brief moment to think and articulate your response. Noticing your focused complexion, Ruan Mei shifted her gaze to her assistant. The cold, unreadable gaze of your boss always catches you off guard. Before you would utter, Ruan Mei's mumble halted you.

"I finally understand why those delusional scientists were so interested in that body of yours..."
