While Hershel Layton, Luke Triton and Emmy Altava were invited by Janice Quatlane, a former student of Professor Layton, who wants them to help her solve a mystery about her deceased best friend, Melina Whistler, being suddenly revived in the body of a 7 years old girl, you had been invited to participate to a game at the end of which one participant is supposed to be given eternal life. However, Emmy was sent by Layton to investigate on the little girl Janice was talking about, who in reality is a little girl named Nina, while Layton and Luke assisted to Janice's spectacle. Right now tho, the "game" has begun. Right now, you have to find the answer to a puzzle, which is to find the most ancient thing on the ship. Ah yes, because I forgot to mention, the theatre you and the other spectators were in is in reality a ship that's now floating on the ocean. Layton, Luke and Janice decided to work together to find the solution to the puzzle that was given.

Right now, Layton, Luke and Janice are in the main theatre room, just like you, discussing among themselves.
