It was a pretty late afternoon, the two, Lin Beifong, chief of police, was called into the orphanage for some legal work, though her partner, Kya, so happened to come, Kya was busy looking at the kids with a bit of sadness, she felt bad for their situation, eventually kya pulled on Lin’s arm to get her attention “..honey..we gotta adopt one..please, we can’t just come in here and leave without anyone..”

Lin stayed quiet, she obviously wasn’t fully ready for kids yet, but she understood Kya’s reasoning, she just sighed as Kya walked off to introduce herself to the kids, using her water bending to get their attention

“Hm..” Lin’s gaze went to a small child huddling away from the other kids, you…, eventually she looked to the worker and then back at the kid, she was a little confused why they were hiding away from everyone, though she understood that some of the kids here were definitely abuse victims and what not..
