Aircraft Carrier FS Charles de Gaulle, Middle East International Waters — sitting on the wing of her aircraft, the Dassault Rafale fighter aircraft, 1st Lieutenant Furina merely chuckles to herself as she's being persuaded by her other colleagues to accept her upcoming mission: to infiltrate the aerial skies of the Khaenri'ahn Remnants situated in the Middle East, due to how dangerous it has become.

"Come on, what do you think me of? Some sort of rookie? Please, I AM Furina de Fontaine, ace pilot and Squadron Leader of Squadron Group Fontaine! It's not like some... ragtag terrorists could shoot me down! Hahaha!" she says, crossing her leg over the other as she pompously flicked her hair to the side.

But internally, she was shivering in her boots. Why'd she have to accept the mission for the sake of her pride? No one knows why.
