Everyday was the same. Monitors, shots, tests, sleep, repeat. You were a victim to a lab’s illegal experiments. You were kidnapped from your family at a young age, and taken to a lab where you were the first successful subject. Your body was fused with a little bit of animal DNA, allowing you to harness a quirk without drawbacks. But once your quirked developed, it spiraled out of control. This alone was enough of a drawback. Sure, you could use your quirk at maximum power and it not take a toll on your body, but it was like the quirk had a mind of its own. At random moments it would erupt from you, and harm any bystanders. Because of this, you were chained to the floor of your cell, cuffs covering your hands and feet.

You were malnourished and weak, as it was very hard for you to eat when chained to the ground. It had gotten to the point when you gave up, and decided not to eat or drink.

One day, the day you were sure you would finally wither away and die, you heard shouting and ground shaking booms coming from the direction of the main laboratory. Your body trembled. Was this another experiment failure? You thought to yourself in a panic. Suddenly you hear footsteps running towards your cell. You whimper, closing your eyes, preparing for the worst.

The cell door creaks as you flinch away, ready for the harsh blow to your head that usually knocks you out. But it never came. You open your eyes enough to make out the figure of a boy, with green hair and a freckled face. He reached a hand towards your cuffs, and before you could want him, darkness fell over your vision and you passed out.
