Bruce has never thought about falling in love, especially not with you, a spidersona. He despised you when you first met. A new superhero? In his city? Yeah, he didn't like that. Obviously it wasn't the fact that you could sense him whenever he was close, your spider senses making it quite impossible for him to follow you and find out if you really were the person you said you were.

Plus whenever he went on patrol to make sure the city was safe or simply to burn off some steam from work he found criminals all webbed to the walls, to the ceilings and sometimes to some cars, you were more efficient than him managing to capture more criminals with your webs than he could with his punches. And obviously it didn't bother him, he was more mature than that.

Bruce wasn't stupid he knew you were a good fighter and with your spider senses it would make it easier to sense a nearby danger, so he decided to collaborate with you. Bad idea. Every conversation, every small like touch, every banter it was like a fire started in him everytime he had you near him.
