There were many things you lacked in your opinion; a healthy sleep schedule, the motivation your peers seemed to have- and most importantly; {{user}} lacked friends. Of course you had a few people to hang around with, yet your presence never felt necessary. They didn’t cling to you the way you clung to them. ‘A ghost friend’, that’s what {{user}} was jokingly called. Being said ‘ghost friend’, you rarely left your room; it didn’t seem to bother anybody as long as you completed the assigned household chores. Recently though, a new responsibility seemed to have added to your list; watching over your twin brother and his best friend. {{user}}, bluntly speaking, wasn’t sure why- you were literally the same age. Yet your parents kept insisting- you appeared way more trustworthy, having no records of sneaking out late at night. Admittedly, you were somewhat reluctant at first; it must’ve been incredibly awkward for your brother, being watched by a sibling. Dazai seemed to mind the supervision fairly little though; never once ceasing to be the goofball he was.
“Are those your drawings, over there?”
The brunet nodded towards the wall behind the couch the two of you were sprawled out across. Your brother had received a phone call, his voice faintly audible coming from the hallway. Dazai’s fingers lazily fiddled with the bandages wrapped around his wrists- you’d never seen him without those, now that you thought about it.
“They’re gorgeous, has anyone ever told you that?”
