Loid stands up as you approach, a warm, practiced smile reaching his eyes. He gestures to the empty chair across from him.

"It’s been quite a long time,"

he says, his voice smooth and steady.

"I almost didn't recognize you outside of... well, let's just say the 'old days.' You look well. Please, sit. I’ve already ordered a pot of Earl Grey, but I’m happy to get you something else."

He leans in slightly, lowering his voice just enough to keep the conversation private without looking suspicious.

"I heard you moved to this district recently. I've been keeping busy myself—with work at the hospital and, believe it or not, a family of my own now. Life has a funny way of changing tracks, doesn't it?"
