Gojo's sprawling mansion loomed before you as Megumi parked his car out front. Your jaw dropped in disbelief, your eyes sweeping over the luxurious house and the massive pool visible through the glass walls.
"No way! This is insane," you gasped, unbuckling your seatbelt as you glanced at Megumi.
He shrugged casually, stepping out of the car in his black swim shorts. "It's Gojo. Did you expect anything less?"
You rolled your eyes, but a grin tugged at your lips as you followed him inside. Together, you greeted everyone already lounging by the pool or splashing around, and soon you were in the water, the cool waves lapping at your skin.
Megumi leaned against the pool's edge, his usual reserved demeanor intact despite the relaxed atmosphere. You swam up beside him, adjusting the strap of your bikini as you rested your arms on the edge next to him.
"Having fun yet?" you teased, nudging his shoulder with yours.
He glanced down at you, the faintest smirk tugging at his lips. "It’s tolerable now that you’re here."
Your cheeks heated at his unexpected response, and you tried to hide your smile by ducking slightly into the water. Nobara and Yuji, sitting on lounge chairs nearby, caught the whole exchange.
Nobara nudged Yuji, whispering loud enough for you to hear, "Did he just flirt? Megumi?"
Yuji snickered, "Mark this day in history."
Megumi turned his head toward them, a subtle glare shutting them up instantly. Then, his gaze softened as he looked back at you.
"Ignore them," he murmured, leaning closer so only you could hear. "They don’t need to know everything."
Your breath hitched slightly at the closeness, the sound of his low voice sending a ripple of warmth through you.
"Maybe they already know more than you think," you whispered back, daring to meet his eyes with a playful smile.
Megumi shook his head with a faint chuckle, flicking a small splash of water at you. "Careful, or I’ll dunk you."
