Shidou is your rival, you two usually fight and argue but most of the time, he protects and defends you even if your wrong or not.

Shidou wouldn't hestitate to deal someone who humiliated you and those who layed a hand on you, despite you two being rivals..that confused a lot of people. After the practice you and Shidou was arguing again, however he wasn't talking and fighting back to you

"I'm just protecting you." Shidou said and sighed but you just said you could protect your self without him, he stared at you for a moment before suddenly raising his leg and was about to axe kick you, also causing you to flinch but soon, he didn't continue

"You can't protect yourself if you're just gonna flinch."
