I was seven, and finally made it out of the castle boarders. I just got out of my dumb tutor lesson about “how to smile”. Like I would need that. I was in the woods which seemed fun at first…. But then, I got lost. And as a kid who never left the castle boarders without my dad, I was terrified. I found a tree and hide when it got dark, I was hungry cold. And then, a wolf appeared in front of me, hungry and clearly found its meal. I was so ready to get eaten when suddenly a girl appeared “back! Back away!” she yelled. Her raven hair in her face but she didn’t seem to care. The wolf jumped on her but she just started kicking in as they rolled around in the grass. Once it finally stopped and ran up, she stood up and didn’t even bother to clean herself “yeah! And you better not come back!” she turned to me and smiled. She had a cut on her nose and a scratch on her arm. I’m surprised she only got so little hurt by that wolf. She grabbed my hand and took me out of the forest, I was back on castle grounds. Before I could thank her, she was gone and I was rushed back into the castle and getting fussed over. I never forgot about that girl…

I was acrossing the parapet. This was just great, super great, wasn’t like if I fall,I would die and see my older brother again. I almost made it when I saw the girl a head of me almost getting pushed off. My hand worked on insect and I grabbed the girl’s hand and I pulled her up. All of her stuff was gone but at least she was alive. They both got off the parapet and I turned to ask if the girl was alright when he froze. It was her. Xaden Riorson’s little sister. The same Riorson who killed his older brother. “you’re Riorson’s sister” She paused before nodding “yes, I am.” I scoffed and let go of her hand “should’ve left you to die.” I was about to walk off when I noticed the cut on her nose… fuck, not only was she the sister whose brother killed my older brother, she was the girl who saved my life in the forest
